We would like to inform our friends, participants of our festivals or events and everyone who has been or will be attending our screenings that the 19th Budapest Pride LGBTQ Film Festival will take place in January 2015.
Until then, we are looking forward to an action packed fall and winter season. Let us recommend some amazing events, so that you won’t have to be stuck at home in the cold.
We celebrated the Coming Out Day on October 11; we marked the day with an online community campaign. See details here.
Make sure you don’t miss the three day long TransFest - trans* cultural festival between October 17 and 19. TransFest is the first trans* themed festival in Hungary, aiming to raise awareness of issues concerning trans*, gender non-conform and intersex people. Follow them on Facebook and on their website.
Labrisz Association will organize the next LIFT - Lesbian Identities Festival between Novermber 7 and 9.
We’d like to call your attention to this year’s 11th Verzio International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, from Novemer 11 to 16. We are beyond excited to see the details on this year’s lineup on their Facebook page.
Don’t forget that on November 20 we commemorate the victims of transphobic hate crimes of the past year on the Transgender Day of Remembrance.
Even when we’re not visible, we are not resting. At the moment we are trying to make our new place as cosy as possible at Auróra. Even though none of us get paid and we are working in our free time, many of our events would not be possible without financial support. If you can, please support us regularly, with 1000 HUF/month, so that Budapest Pride can finally become community funded.
Until the Film Festival we hope to see you at the above mentioned events. See you everyday!
