As the organizers of Budapest Pride, we stand in solidarity with the participants of Zagreb Pride, and with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) communities of Croatia. We condemn the recent homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory developments in Croatia, and we hope that this Saturday’s Pride march in Zagreb will be a success.

This May 17th Budapest Pride joins Amnesty International Hungary in its street campaign on International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. Everyone is invited to join in front of the Office of the Parliament between 14:00 and 16:00, and to attend the discussion held by Transvanilla Transgender Association at 18:00. Every year workshops, discussions, forums, and debates make up a major part of the Budapest Pride Festival. This year’s festival, which marks Budapest Pride’s 18th anniversary, will have an array of workshops Monday through Friday, July 1 through July 5. The workshops, starting each day at 5 p.m., will be held in a variety of locations in Budapest. Be creative, help shape the festival, submit your proposal!
