From January 13th to 18th, 2015, the focus will once again be on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) movies, with the 19th Budapest Pride LGBTQ Film Festival. The audience can expect more than 30 movies, including award-winning works shown for the first time in Hungary, exciting documentaries, short films, workshops and games.
The film festival has an unconventional venue for the first time: we offer a more intimate, cosier atmosphere compared to a regular cinema, as the events will take place at Kolor (in the Gozsdu Udvar) and at Hátsó Kapu (Dohány street).
Home is where you have friends and a good vibe. At the new location of the film festival you can be yourself and take it easy in a safe, almost home-like atmosphere, watching movies with friends and strangers. Hence our 2015 motto, "Make yourself at home!".
A true home cinema experience is guaranteed not only by the pleasant venue but also by the numerous games and social activities planned for the festival week.
Budapest Pride also offers a frequent guest's pass to the film-loving audience - you can watch 5 movies for the price of 4, if you purchase your pass in advance.
Details about the program and the ticket pre-sale location will soon be posted on our Facebook page and on the official Budapest Pride website.
